Meet Dr. Catania

Primarily raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, Dr. Sondra Catania-Feher was an accomplished athlete with an avid passion for the medical field. She attended Palo Verde High School where she was captain of the color guard and pole vaulting team, hobbies which eventually led to coaching roles. Her background in dance and athletics inspired her begin a career path towards sports therapy and her desire to understand more of the human body, especially in moments of athletic strain, led her to pursue Kinesiology at the University of Las Vegas, Nevada, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in 2008. Dr. Catania was then immediately accepted into the prestigious Palmer College of Chiropractic West in San Jose, California, where she was awarded her Doctorate of Chiropractic in 2011.

During her time at Palmer West, Dr. Catania volunteered and worked with numerous organizations geared to enhance her education and knowledge in the field. She was part of the medical staffs at Sea Otter Classic in Monterey; the North Face Challenge Endurance Run in Marine County; multiple ultimate frisbee tournaments in San Jose; and at the National Cheerleading & Dance Championships in San Jose. She participated in Palmer West’s clinic abroad program, where she traveled to Fiji for two weeks in order to provide chiropractic care to the local schoolchildren. It was during this time that Dr. Catania became increasingly aware of the lack of chiropractic children’s specialists and began to understand the drastic importance of proper treatment for developing bodies. She decided to shift concentrations from sports therapy to pediatric and prenatal care.

Currently, Dr. Catania is furthering her education by pursuing a certificate in Pediatric and Prenatal Chiropractic with the International Chiropractic Pediatrics Association (ICPA). With classes taught by the leading authorities in the chiropractic community today, Dr. Catania is enhancing her career by receiving hands-on adjusting techniques and improving her practical and clinical competency in treating children. Upon completion, Dr. Catania will be one of the sole practitioners in Las Vegas specially trained in pediatrics, especially those afflicted with various sports-related injuries.

Dr. Catania now practices at Catania Family Chiropractic in Henderson. Her knowledge of the local community, athletic afflictions, pediatric care, accompanied by her outstanding theoretical knowledge of the field has allowed her to begin rapidly expanding her clientele. She is a member of the American Chiropractic Association (ACA).

Dr. Catania is happily married to her husband, Dr. Richard Feher who she met while in chiropractic school. They are happy parents to identical twin boys, Nathan and Henry who joined the family July 2020.
